When you ask a teen ranked double digits out of millions on the other game to take a break and play something new, you expect some backlash, but a surprising “sure” floated from his lips. My husband (he believes that he is king) would challenge that our son is the expert of hardcore gaming, especially the games that seem to make even the nails begin to protrude from the walls, but my soon-to-be-out-on-my-own young adult, he is confident that he is king, so when the game arrived he taught me how to become the Assassin!

Did I mention that when the package arrived, I didn’t even know? Young adult had already opened the package and started playing; getting a feel of the game, navigation, and of course the first thing out of his mouth, “graphics are great.” And they were! We are a gaming family, but the one thing that can pull me into a game and storyline, are crisp graphics that make me second-guess if I’m watching real people in a movie. Revelations definitely will not disappoint!

I enjoyed letting young adult take the lead on this game as I followed along through his assassin adventure. After seeing the Get Caught Up trailer (above), I was mesmerized by the history-rich backstory. As he took the reigns, a rumble began to flow through the surround sound, it of course enhanced our game experience. I was ready to begin the next phase of Ezio’s journey. With the amazing graphics, I felt as though I was Ezio fighting my way to discovery. Game play is great and the storyline is interesting; you can’t help but want to continue to follow along to find out what will happen next, or how you will turn the tables.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations brings together science fiction, history, and a compelling story for you to continue the quests. And, if that is not enough to grab the gaming enthusiast within you, throw in assassins, fighting, and awesome weapons – like riding a hook-blade zip line, crafting bombs, or maybe stunning your enemies with poisonous darts before you execute them assassin-style. Every gamer in my family has been able to find the one (actually many) aspect to keep them wanting more!

The young adult was definitely very enticed and the updates every five minutes let me know that he is still interested. He, of course, is a bit further along in the game and is on a roll. He has set his sight on finishing the game and discovering what is waiting for him there. He is at 47%, so he still has a bit of time before reaching destiny.

For Assassin’s Creed followers, you will see the final chapter of Ezio, Desmond, and Altair play out in this epic farewell, but you will not be disappointed. The three characters have been given a grand farewell.
