Unplugged & Connected

Yet, if I sat real close to a corner window, I might get lucky!

This past weekend I attended the Arkansas Women Bloggers Unplugged Conference. The focus of the conference (for me) was too disconnect from technology and reconnect to people. Direct face-to-face contact with other women where we had to use our mouths for communication; not Twitter, Facebook, or blog comments. True honest connection the old fashion way (GASP! There WAS a way to communicate BEFORE Twitter).

The agenda was packed with educational tid bits on taking your blog to the next level, and if I was only allowed to take away one word from this conference, that one word would be – authentic. Thankfully, I was allowed to take away many more friends than just one. Such exceptional women.

A few of those exceptional women I met:

and, I can’t forget my roommate with a daughter so similar to mine (nothing like talking about puberty while applying makeup), Shannon of NWAMotherlode.

Thank you so much Collective Bias and Elmer’s for giving me the opportunity to attend and meet such amazing women.

      Dannie,

Yes, talking about puberty is always a bonding experience!!! ;) We have got to get our girls together (and their mamas would enjoy it, too, right?)

Hope to see you very soon.

“Authentic” was the buzz word, wasn’t it? It’s cool because now that I’ve met y’all, I hear your voice when I read your blogs!
