Best Apps for the Kiddos

Disclosure: Although not compensated, I am participating in a contest at Best Kids Apps, a blog about iphone apps for kids, for a chance to win an iPad.

Parents want to make sure the content their children are associated with is safe and appropriate. Not just educational, but a mix of fun and humor, too. As busy parents, we may not always have the time to check every app available to our kiddos – so we turn to those that review!

Cue two busy moms that have made it their mission to find safe appropriate apps that are both fun and educational for our children’s viewing pleasure. Best Kids Apps is an informative website that reviews kid-friendly apps for i-product wielding parents. The all-you-need-to-know-one-stop-shop!

With an easy to use view, app reviews are broken into categories that make it a quick find. You can look from creative to educational apps, to the perfect fun-time for a 6 year old during a drive to the grocery store. Not only quick to find, but quick to buy – just click the “Download from iTunes” button on the review post.

I love review sites simply because I can see what other parents think is great, or not, to help me make an informed decision. What are you waiting for? Go take a look at the great reviews and some awesome apps for our kids!

Enjoy!

Every Wednesday, DannieSpeaks shares with you a HotSpot from around the internet. This post was for informational purposes.

All I Want for Mother’s Day

The easy part: I’m participating in a contest at Best Kids Apps, a blog about iPhone apps for kids, for a chance to win an iPad.

So, what I would really like for Mother’s Day – more than a day alone – would be to win an iPad. Selfish, I know, but it is Mother’s Day. And wanting to win the iPad isn’t all that selfish… just borderline. I have my son (and daughter) in my thoughts, too!

For mom an iPad would be great for traveling. Less to lug when on a trip and it gives the touch that I enjoy over using a mini. Forgot the book to read? No worries… remember you downloaded it onto the iPad. Dang that pesky email that was forgotten – get to it now. And, don’t forget to check into Twitter and Facebook.

For son an iPad is a great tool for the new homeschooled student. Educational apps that can be downloaded to use as a resource or research for the first paper that needs to be written. Mom and son can also work together using the iPad on field trips to recognize birds, trees, lizards or maybe history and art.

For daughter, well honestly the love of the iPad would be just in the fun of using it, watching favorite shows on long trips, and downloading fun games. She’s nine and gets a kick out of the joy of things!

It’s simple! This mom would LOVE to win an iPad for the educational resource it could be for our family, enjoyment for long trips, and the tool it definitely would be for when I’m working.

I so want to win the iPad!!
