Oh, Vacation, You Are Missed

It has been years since my family has taken a vacation. Not that they are not completely deserved  they are, but quite honestly when it comes down to money, life, money, and life, a vacation is more often placed on the back burner because of other more pressing concerns that eat up all of the money and stress out our life.

It’s frustrating! We are say, “Next year we are taking a vacation!” And, when next year gets here, do we? You know, take that vacation? Heck no! Again, something always comes up. So, a goal this year (notice – not a resolution) is to have that vacation that is always put off. It might not be fancy, it might not be expensive, but it will be with family, enjoying time unplugged, reconnecting.

So, as I’ve set this goal for myself to accomplish with family, I’m taking time to look within my state, and surrounding states, to see where we could possibly spend a few days, away, decompressing. Let’s take a look!
